Puro Promotes a New Way to do business at COP17

The Puro Coffee South Africa Team are pulling out all the stops to promote their Fairtrade Coffee Brand at the 2011 COP17 Climate Change Conference in Durban. They also want to be a living expample of how you can build a business while making a difference in local communities and trying in any way to halt the destruction of our beloved planet. Puro will be providing all the coffee for delegate meetings held at The Oasis of Fresh Thinking hosted by the Durban Jewish Centre. R2 from every cup of coffee, iced coffee or smoothie they serve will be dontaed to Trees4schools and they will use their presence at COP17 to help promote and raise funds for our fresh collaboration with The Expedition Project. They hope to raise enough money to plant 2000 trees or vegetable gardens around the country next year while educating local kids on why we need trees and how to plant and care for them. We will also provide training on setting up and maintaining successful permaculture, organic veggie gardens in old tyres.

The partnership between Puro and Trees4schools is a perfect example of how even a fledgeling business can play a part in creating a sustainable future for all by refusing to make a profit at the expense of our planet and people.
